This lesson will teach you how to copy text from Microsoft Word and paste it to your site’s text editor.
To copy the content from your word document, you first have to highlight the entire text you wish to copy by using your mouse.
Now that your text is highlighted you must copy the content to your clipboard. To copy your highlighted content to the clipboard, click the COPY icon.
To maintain the integrity of Microsoft’s special code, you must use your site’s Text Editor’s "Paste From Word" function. Click the "Word" icon. This will open the "paste from Word" window.
To paste your copied content, place your curser in the "Paste from Word" window and hold down the "CTRL" key on your keyboard and click the "v" key. This action will paste in your content.
Clicking the "Insert" button will put your content into the text editor.
To save your work, click either the "Save Draft" button (1), or the "Publish" button (2). If you click the "Publish" button, the new post becomes live to viewers right away.
